The Gardener & The Tree on tour in Germany in September 2026

Few genres have the power to give you goosebumps as reliably as sprawling indie folk. Swiss band The Gardener & The Tree have been serving the genre with the utmost dedication since their formation in 2013 and have been providing highly emotional moments, especially on the live stage, for over ten years.

It all started with the two friends Manuel Felder (vocals) and Patrik Muggli (former guitarist), who played their amateurish recordings to each other in the car and then decided without further ado to try their hand at music together. Under the name The Gardener & The Tree, the two of them and four other founding members began to work on their indie-folk concept and quickly came up with their first songs. It quickly became clear that Felder's catchy, throaty voice had a recognition value and was well received, as the first project already spent an impressive three weeks in the Swiss charts. Just one year after the band was founded, the debut EP "Revolution" was released, containing songs such as "mama's guitar" and "waterfall", which are still considered important tracks in the discography of the band from Schaffhausen today. The Gardener & The Tree have released a total of three EPs and two albums over the past 12 years - and a new work, the EP "SOLE", will follow in July of this year.

From bittersweet ballads to energetic indie-pop sing-along refrains, the work encompasses all the facets that The Gardener & The Tree have developed in their discography to date. The tracks already released range from the highly emotional "kingdom far" to the solemn, poppy "(fuck it)" and give a good foretaste not only of what we can expect from the EP release on July 17, but also of what the accompanying tour will bring. Goosebumps are pre-programmed with the varied setlist, which combines band classics such as "Wild Horses" or "Silver Lining" with the new releases on the "SOLE" tour. The band will be taking their "SOLE" EP on tour with a new line-up for a whopping ten dates in Germany and Austria in September.
