US heavy pop band with current album for four concerts in Germany

A band like The Home Team is the result of a love of modern metal, catchy pop, groovy R&B and stadium-ready alternative rock. This mix results in a sound that the band itself could not have described better as "heavy pop" and has long since consolidated with its two EPs, three albums and electrifying live performances released to date. In addition to tour support for Mayday Parade, Don Broco, The Used, State Champs, Real Friends and other bands with great reputations, the quartet from Seattle have also completely sold out their own US headline tours. In 2026, The Home Team will play festivals such as Welcome to Rockville and Slam Dunk and bring the unique sound of their latest album to German stages on The Crucible of Life European Tour 2026. At the end of October, the band from Seattle will be heading to Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne.

Singer Brian Butcher, bassist Ryne Olson, guitarist John Baran and drummer Daniel Matson came together almost by perfect coincidence and good timing after Baran and Matson originally formed The Home Team as a quintet in 2013, leaving the spheres of their original metal bands behind them. At least partially; because metal and low-tuned guitars still play a role in The Home Team 's sound. However, their new musical approach goes further, focusing on traditional pop-punk and has since been supplemented by genres such as R&B, pop and funk, leading the band to their current heavy pop sound. After Brian Butchter became the band's singer in 2015, The Home Team celebrated the release of their debut album "Better Off" in 2018 and their first hit with "She's Quiet". In 2019, Ryne Olson became part of the band after a joint tour, which led to their current line-up. In 2022, "Slow Bloom " built on the success of its predecessor and established further fan favorites with songs such as "Move It or Lose It", "Right Through Me", "Slow Bloom" and "Watching All Your Friends Get Rich". "The Crucible Of Life", the band's third album, was released in 2024 and stands out from their discography with songs like "Brag", "Walk This World With Me" and "Loud" as a testament to The Home Team 's resilience and creative development. In 2025, the song "Worthy" was released as part of the deluxe edition of the album, marking the band's first single chart entry and quickly becoming the band's new top track.
