An icy wind blows over a forgotten corner of France, and somewhere between fog, silence and movie sets, a story begins that quietly creeps into your mind. Welcome to the world of Lucile Hadžihalilović's THE ICE TOWER - an enigmatic fairy tale full of beauty, cold and underlying danger.

At the center is Jeanne, a young girl who escapes from an orphanage in the 70s. In search of a new life, she ends up in a seemingly abandoned warehouse - where, at dawn, she encounters a figure that looks like something out of a dream: Hans Christian Andersen's Snow Queen herself. What Jeanne thinks is an apparition turns out to be part of a movie set. Jeanne falls under the spell of the leading actress Christina, whose allure is both dazzling and uncanny.

You too can fall under her spell: On Sunday, December 8 at 7:30 pm, we will be showing THE ICE TOWER as an exclusive preview at Cinema Futuro, in Stuttgart's city center cinemas, high above the sparkling wintery Schlossplatz.

With a frosty supporting program, a matching vinyl lottery and then great conversations over free drinks from Kessler, Schwabenbräu and Elephant Bay in the beautiful foyer of the cinema - with a view over the city.
