Deeply rooted in the flamenco of her Andalusian homeland, Paula Bilá carries the musical soul of the south in every note. In recent years, she has increasingly turned her attention to the great Latin American song treasures of the 20th century - boleros full of longing, melodies between melancholy and lust for life, stories of love, loss and hope.
She will be accompanied by guitarist Linus Eppinger's quartet, The LEANING IN Underground, whose stylistic elegance, subtle humor and palpable joy of playing have long since ceased to delight only the die-hard jazz audience. Together they create a warm, open sound space in which tradition and modernity flow effortlessly into one another.
The result is an intimate, contemporary blend of bolero, Latin jazz and improvisational freedom: passionate, atmospheric music that touches, carries you away and invites you to dream and dance in equal measure.
Their second joint album "La Vuelta En Español Vol.2" will be released in March 2026. It is a musical declaration of love to the diversity and depth of popular Latin American music of the 20th century - personal, intense and full of soul.
