The English Theatre Düsseldorf (ETD) is delighted to present Patrick Barlow's British Christmas comedy THE MESSIAH at the Horizont Theater, Cologne on December 9th!

Patrick Barlow's THE MESSIAH is an amusing and hilarious reinterpretation of the greatest story of all time: the Christmas story! The entire ensemble of... two people, led by the "distinguished historian and actor", Artistic Director Jeffrey Thespus Wimpole (Mike McAlpine) and his incompetent, er, brave assistant Humphrey Dott (Bevan Thomson), present us with their version of the entire Christmas story, supported by the fantastic opera singer (Anna Moog), who brilliantly sings excerpts from Handel's Messiah. Jeffrey and Humphrey play all the popular characters, Joseph, Mary, the Archangel Gabriel, Herod, God and many, many more. The audience will leave the theater full of joy and Christmas spirit.
