The Notwist | Live 2026

Excerpt from SZ (02.09.2025):
"It starts quietly. With an intro featuring banjo, sousaphone and vibraphone reminiscent of the music of Hochzeitskapelle, the Achers' side project. And less of the Munich indie rock institution The Notwist. This is followed by a gentle guitar motif and Markus Acher sings: "I won't get insane like all the others. I will find my way." That sounds kind of optimistic. And optimism is something you really need these days. A new album by The Notwist could also help combat the insanity that is rampant everywhere. And lo and behold: Munich's most important band has been working on it for a week at Import Export. And the even better news in the past few days was that Notwist fans were able to listen to the album at two pre-release concerts at the same venue.

The fact that you can listen to an album before it's released - that's something you usually only know from pre-listening sessions on the internet. But the thing is actually already in the can. Recorded, mixed and fully produced. The only thing missing is the price tag. It was completely different with The Notwist. The songs were live. In a rough version."
