Program overview
11:00-19:00 | Exhibition: Unfairtobacco
Find out where the ingredients of tobacco and nicotine products come from, what global consequences their cultivation has and which people around the world are fighting for better conditions and a sustainable future. The exhibition invites you to become active yourself.
11:00-12:30 or 15:30-17:00 | Workshop: Who made my tobacco?
An interactive workshop that shows where tobacco is grown, the conditions under which people work and how global connections arise. Together we playfully explore the so-called footprint of a cigarette - from consumption to production.
18:00-19:00 | Film screening: Tobacco Slave (OmdtU)
The documentary tells the stories of tobacco farmers in Malawi: harsh working conditions, child labor, health hazards and enormous inequality. A penetrating look at global exploitation and colonial continuities.
