We take you on a sensual journey from everyday culture to a work of art. The Dutch Quarter in Potsdam provides the historic setting for a stroll along Mittelstrasse and Benkertstrasse between 80 lovingly designed market stalls with their extraordinary offerings. Pottery, ceramics, porcelain & selected arts and crafts. The entire diversity of pottery art is reflected here. From practical pottery for the home and beautiful garden ornaments to artistic sculptures made using a wide variety of traditional and innovative techniques.

Many other traditional crafts are also represented, such as master basket weavers, carpenters, hand weavers, goldsmiths, garment makers and milliners. New home accessories are sewn from old linen. Handmade leather bags are another specialty. There are self-designed textiles for young and old and visual artists offer paintings, graphics and postcards designed by them.

This market combines traditional pottery, artistic ceramics & innovative artisan design. A spectrum of modern craftsmanship.

The varied local gastronomy invites you to linger & relax, accompanied by musical sounds.
