Transport: Connecting Flights

In the organizer's words:

SPECIAL PROGRAM: ON THE JOURNEY OF THINGS

German premiere

Transport: Connecting Flights is set in an airport, a place where people, languages and destinies from all corners of the world come together. A microcosm of the globalized world - at the same time a space in which inequalities and invisible borders become tangible. At the center is a refugee family forced to leave their homeland and seek safety in the unknown. The airport becomes a symbol of hope and hopelessness, of dreams and expectations.

Detailed miniature sets, a haunting soundscape and the special use of light illustrate everyday life at the airport in a fascinatingly uncomfortable way.

Since its foundation in 1953, the Białystok Puppet Theatre has established itself as one of Poland's leading puppet theaters.

Transport Tour:

We offer an extra subscription to the Transport series as well as a shuttle tour on May 15 - two ways to experience all six plays (see program booklet p. 61)
