In our upcoming major special exhibition, you can join us on an exciting research journey back to 250 million years ago. Right in the middle of the largest mass extinction in the history of the earth. But what actually happened to the dinosaurs afterwards?
In the mass extinction 250 million years ago, a large part of the plant and animal world disappeared forever. But life found its way back - dinosaurs in particular were more successful than ever afterwards. They colonized all habitats and developed an incredible diversity. In the large special exhibition "Triassic Life - A journey into the world of the dinosaurs", two of our palaeontologists will take you on an educational discovery tour in the footsteps of the dinosaurs and explain the scientific methods and technologies they use.
For the first time, parts of the permanent exhibition will also be included in this special exhibition - after all, you can marvel at detailed, life-size dinosaur models in their habitat. Part of our permanent exhibition is also being revised - so regular visitors will also have plenty of new things to discover!
