After the destruction of Earth, astronaut Andriy Melnyk is supposedly the last man in the universe. Until he receives a radio message from Catherine, on a distant research station near Saturn. A relationship develops between the two that goes far beyond their partnership of convenience. A desire grows within them to meet at least once in real life at the end of the world.

One of the most touching and also funniest films of recent years and (according to our science fiction-loving program curator Katharina) even one of the best science fiction films in history! Perhaps this raises very high expectations, but rarely has a movie told such a universal story about our longing for interpersonal affection on a small scale and looked so good on a large scale. The effects and design are created with great attention to detail and need not hide behind big productions. All the more impressive as the film was made during the Russian war of aggression.
