Und Endlich - Theater mit jungen und alten Leipziger:innen

In the organizer's words:

Now I dare! This will be the role of my life! That's exactly what the actors who arrive on stage for an audition are promising themselves. Three of them are over seventy years old and the other half are on the verge of puberty.

Step by step, they go through the casting and get to know each other. Experiences, lifestyles and prejudices collide and a space is created that allows questions to be asked of the other generation, and differences and similarities are given equal space. What is it like to live at the beginning and end of life?

How do you cope with everything that comes in between? For this special intergenerational encounter, director Karen Breece put together an ensemble of an actress, children and senior citizens from Leipzig. Based on interviews, improvisations and research, a play has been created in which all generations can find themselves and which invites emotion, humor and depth.
