Fancy early music combined with dance, techno or visual art? The :unlimited series at zamus: zentrum für alte musik köln combines the past with the present:

The French dancer and choreographer Marie Sallé (1707-56) laid the foundations for modern dance. In her performances, she repeatedly pushed the boundaries of what women were allowed to do on stage at the time towards more artistic and narrative expressiveness. She worked with Handel and Rameau and created choreographies to the music of Jean-Joseph Mouret. Two dancers bring her historical choreographies into dialog with contemporary dance. The music of well-known composers is heard in a new chamber music version that tells the story of Marie Sallé.
