V-Day - Internationaler Aktionstag gegen Gewalt an Mädchen* und Frauen* - Tanzdemo

V-Day is organized every year on 14 February by the Women's Department of the City of Frankfurt and is supported by a broad alliance.

"V-Day - One Billion Rising" is an international day of action on February 14, which has been drawing attention to the extent of violence against women and girls and calling for protest since 2012. One Billion" refers to a UN statistic: one in three women worldwide will be raped or become a victim of severe physical violence in their lifetime - that equates to around one billion women. Countries on all continents are taking part in numerous campaigns on this day.

Frankfurt is also taking part again with an event:

Dance demo in the city center: 2 pm, Roßmarkt, also in sign language, organized by the Women's Department and a broad action alliance, the DJ crew GG Vybe and the choreographer BeShoo.

Steps from the dance "Break the Chain" will be danced together. Dancing in public space symbolizes strength, solidarity and the desire for freedom instead of powerlessness. Signs, banners and banners are welcome.
