"Over the last three years, I've traveled all over the USA. In the morning I decided where I wanted to be in the evening, then I set off. I've driven through places that aren't on any map and listened to the radio."

Since 2023, Valentin Goppel (*2000) has been realizing a long-term project in the west of the USA with False Prophet Radio. In his documentary-artistic works, the photographer combines personal perspectives with overarching social issues. In doing so, he questions the concept of objective truth within photography. His work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in various institutional and private art collections. He was awarded the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award and the Visa pour l'Image Urban Newcomer Grant. His first illustrated book "Zwischen den Jahren" was published in 2024 by the British publisher GOST.
