Two decades on stage - and not a bit quiet: VERSENGOLD are more than just an integral part of the German-speaking music scene. They are what happens when musical virtuosity meets real stories, raw coastal air and a deep-rooted love for the audience. What began as an acoustic folk project in North German pubs has developed into one of the most exciting and independent bands in the country. Their mixture of rousing folk rock, sensitive poetry and handmade energy inspires a wide-ranging audience - between rock festival and TV garden, beer bench and circle pit.

The band around Malte Hoyer knows how to interweave socially relevant topics with historical or maritime images like no other - without pathos, but with attitude, wit and musical sensitivity.

With their upcoming studio album "Eingenordet" (release date: 16.01.2026), which will be released on the band's own label Küstenkind Records, VERSENGOLD are opening a new chapter - while remaining completely themselves. Between social commentary, personal depth and the irrepressible desire to tell stories, the result is a work that takes a clear stance both musically and lyrically. Folk rock that not only entertains, but also touches and fires you up.

"Eingenordet" is an album with a clear direction - but without blinkers. It shows VERSENGOLD as mature artists who know their course but are never closed to change.

"Klabauterfrau" - a prelude with a head of foam

The first harbinger of the album was released in July 2025: with "Klabauterfrau", the band delivered a stormy love adventure full of sailor poetry, self-irony and danceable melodies. The single became a catchy tune at the summer's festivals and combines maritime flair with the band's danceable pulse. In its narrative style and musical realization, "Klabauterfrau" exemplifies what VERSENGOLD is all about: strong images, honest emotions and the joy of playing with language and sound.

"Falscher Leuchtturm" - New feature with Madsen from August 22, 2025

With their upcoming single "Falscher Leuchtturm" (release date: 22.08.2025), VERSENGOLD are making a clear statement - both musically and in terms of content. Together with the band Madsen, they have created a powerful song that addresses false authorities, dangerous narratives and dazzling promises. It is about temptations that promise security but lead to ruin - and about power structures to which one must not surrender without a fight.

The two bands complement each other in an impressive way: Madsen's guitar power meets the folky precision of VERSENGOLD. Two strong voices unite to create an impressive appeal for personal responsibility and independence.

With this single, the band not only shows musical courage, but also social awareness - packaged in a song that goes forward and stays in the memory.
