Dein (vor)letztes Stündlein. Der etwas andere Liederabend

At some point, the moment has come for each and every one of us. Death.
"Death and the tax", so they say. But "death and music" is an equally apt image.
So if death were a figure, what would it look like? What would he have to say about our society and how would he, who has always been there and will always be there, assess the deterioration of our planet?

These are questions that Bastian Röstel tries to answer for the audience and himself in his role as Father Death himself. The result is an evening full of black humor, tinged with musical and scenic precision and variety. "Dein (vor)letztes Stündlein" is a cabaret song recital of a somewhat different kind.

Dark, bizarre, entertaining and varied: classical music meets pop, the art song dances with the musical and opera and operetta go hand in hand with Kreisler and "Die Ärzte". The audience can expect a stage play for voice and piano, performed by pianist Thomas Aydintan. Das "(vor)letzte Stündlein" is anything but predictable: It manages entirely without Schubert's "Death and the Maiden", but cannot be without Strauss' "Die Fledermaus". Viennese operetta schtick together with 19th century art songs and the feminist rock artist Jennifer Rostock ... Is that allowed? Art? Or can it go away?

Well - this could be answered with "Vive la Mort et l'égalité", i.e. "Long live death and equality!".

Because in the end, there is no one who celebrates life as much as death.
