Von Lützerath bis Pakistan - Strategien im Kampf für Klimagerechtigkeit

The expansion of the Garzweiler open-cast coal mine in North Rhine-Westphalia is controversial because it has not only local but also global consequences.

We bring these dimensions together: Since 2018, climate activists have been involved in the "Alle Dörfer Bleiben" group to save the surrounding villages and fight for every meter along the edge of the demolition site.

Activists from "Block Neurath" are currently being sued by RWE for over 1 million euros in damages due to a successful blockade action. At the event, they will meet a delegation of Pakistani farmers who are already massively affected by the destructive effects of global warming.

In one of the regions of the world most affected by the climate crisis, they are fighting for climate justice and thus for their livelihood security by holding those responsible for the climate crisis to account.
