What happens when anger suddenly gets really big? In this event, the Fröbel book workshop invites children and families to discover the story of Waldo the raccoon together.
In the picture book cinema, the children experience an interactive, scenic reading about anger and friendship. Waldo has a big problem: his anger is sometimes so strong that it even drives his best friend away. In search of a way to deal with his feelings, he tries out many things - and finally finds his very own way of dealing with them.
After the reading, things get creative: children and their families design their own little "anger balls" or other emotion-related objects that can help them deal with strong emotions. This results in individual, colorful companions that invite children to try out, play and think further.
The event combines reading together with creative design and opens up a playful approach to feelings. It is aimed at children aged 4 and over and their families.

About the author
Katharina Mauder wants to inspire children with stories - both real and inner children. So she initially worked as an editor in a children's book publishing house. But the many stories in her head pushed her out into the world so much that she became a children's book author. Today she writes and lives in Hamburg with her husband and whirlwind twin dwarves, gives readings, teaches creative writing courses - and can hardly imagine a better job.
