Simone Leister presents fragile, expressive wall objects made of paper, silk and wool.
The objects are constructed from hundreds of scraps of paper in layers with glue. In terms of color, they range from dark and gloomy to colorful and cheerful. Like clouds that also appear in various shapes and colors in the sky.
They are complemented by disc-like extensions made of silk and paper threads. Cell-like, proliferating structures gather shadows within themselves and make the viewer curious about their interior. Some objects encroach on the space. Round shapes form islands and seem to float. One object consists only of paper threads and has a skellet-like structure. It seems to dissolve into light and shadow. The view of the sky evokes thoughts of becoming and passing away.
