WUCAN live and for free at Schönauer Parkfest!
Wucan is a German rock band from Dresden who like to describe their style as heavy flute rock. If you immerse yourself in the artistic work of the quartet, it quickly becomes clear why common genre descriptions reach their limits here. Since their first album "Sow the Wind" (2015), the Dresden-based band has been convincing listeners with its multifaceted and playful psychedelic riffs, progressive structures and folky elements, without shying away from either the gentle nuances or the harder gait. With each release, the band around singer and multi-instrumentalist Francis Tobolsky reinvents itself without losing its recognizability. Their repertoire ranges from crisp proto-metal numbers to epic 15-minute works of art such as "Wandersmann" from their debut album or "Aging 10 Years in 2 Seconds" from the double album "Reap The Storm" (2017). Their cover version of the RENFT song "Zwischen Liebe und Zorn" (Between Love and Anger) attracted attention, and not just from East German rock fans. Text: www.7er-club.de
