Kitchen opera by Sebastian Schwab

Lisa and Hagen are baking a birthday cake for their father. Because the fridge no longer has everything the recipe calls for, they improvise a little: orange juice, leeks and carrots are added to the butter and flour in the mixing bowl. Will the "all-in-all universe cake" taste good? Lisa and Hagen's father will never have to try it, because suddenly the children are faced with a voracious sausage that lives in their fridge, has eggs and milk on its conscience and is becoming increasingly insolent. But the siblings stick together and defend themselves and the family kitchen with ingenuity and a strong pinch of chili.
With a great deal of wit and imagination, composer Sebastian Schwab brings to life the most unlikely operatic character in the history of music to date: a pressed sausage (tenor). Whisks and carrot scrapers are used to make music in this kitchen opera, as are the trombone and piano, which accompany the action with virtuosity. Wurst is the contemporary answer to Hansel and Gretel and a charming operatic delight.
