XXL-Paddelfestival 2026

From May 8 to 10, 2026, the Markkleeberg Canoe Park will once again be transformed into the heart of the paddling scene. Under the motto "Test. Paddle. Experience.", visitors can expect an action-packed weekend with test opportunities on the two whitewater canals and Lake Markkleeberg. Whether it's the latest whitewater innovations, tried-and-tested kayak models, packrafts, touring boats or SUPs - the full paddling experience is waiting to be tried out! At the expo on Saturday & Sunday, established brands from the scene will be joined by regional and new providers for those interested and looking for something new.

The festival program is as diverse as the paddling scene itself. A special highlight is the German Whitewater SUP Championships, which will be held for the first time over the entire weekend. The XXL roll-on roll competition and, for the first time, an inclusive triple-mix relay race also offer action. On Sunday, an official whitewater pinball race will be held for the first time in Germany in cooperation with PRIJON. Here you can compete together as a team.

‍HIGHLIGHTS 2026

Workshops such as freestyle courses or kayak & canoe tips complete the program. The PALM Junior Trophy competitions will make children's eyes light up, while the Club Challenge will entice clubs with attractive prizes. A special extra: Olaf Obsommer, the best-known filmmaker on the paddling scene, will not only capture the best moments, but will also reveal how to take impressive photos yourself in his workshop.
