wg.literatur - Young writers and their literary debuts in shared flats in Hanover

The protagonist Aki didn't even realize that her grandmother had died six months ago. Neither did her mother Keiko. She has dementia, which is why she later forgets about the death. Without further ado, Aki decides to travel to Japan once again with Keiko and hopes for - well, what actually? In her novel, Kuhn carefully negotiates a daughter-mother relationship that is characterized by cultural contrasts, family pasts and the search for belonging.
