Zinola Kühn Productions: POSTO

Let's come together on stage in empathy, responsibility and play. POSTO is a participatory dance piece about finding and taking one's place. There are three oversized, inflatable balls on the stage, otherwise it is empty. The balls playfully invite interaction and at the same time open up a variety of physical and emotional reactions. How can individual needs for participation, distance or observation be translated into a shared experience? Community and respect are negotiated in the interaction between dancers and audience. In POSTO, the theater space becomes a place of togetherness in which empathy, responsibility and play intertwine.

The core team of Zinola Kühn Productions are Alfredo Zinola as choreographer and Micaela Kühn Jara as producer and mediator. They have been working together since 2015 based on their shared interest in dance for young audiences. Together they create projects and other formats, often in collaboration with other artists in co-authorship. They are based in Cologne and Munich. They work in cooperation with tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf and HochX in Munich. Their work is characterized by exploring the boundaries of formats, themes and ideas to shape what a dance performance for young audiences can be. Through their work, they want to question the relationship between society and childhood. In addition to the productions and international touring, they work to further develop the discursive and collegial level of the professional field through workshops, discussions and collaborations with other artists.
