Santino is a circus child. His circus travels the country with wagons and animals. Home is not a place for him, but his family. This includes not only his parents Angie and Gitano and his brother Giordano, but also many uncles and aunts, cousins and especially his great-grandfather Ehe. "Grandpa Ehe" is one of the last great circus directors in Germany and tells Santino exciting stories from his long circus life. About the magnificent bull elephant Sahib, his own first steps as a clown and the feeling of freedom for which it is worth putting up with all the hardships. On Santino's 11th birthday, Ehe asks what Santino wants to show off in the circus ring one day. Because he, Santino, also has something to contribute to their community. But how do you find out?
