Zwischenstopp: Lesung mit Esra Canpalat

In the organizer's words:

Seda wants to know. And doesn't even know exactly what this 'it' is. She is the last child of parents of an advanced age, 'the last leftovers in the trough', as her mother Naime calls her. She and her father Faiz remain silent or do not tell us enough. Seda's older sisters, Tülay and Ferda, tell her not to make such a fuss. The cellar is empty because Naime throws away everything that has no practical use. There are only photographs of people Seda doesn't recognize. But there are voices: Naime's crowing voice, Faiz's throaty-sounding telegram voice, Tülay's muffled voice, and Ferda's annoying alto voice. And this babble of voices sometimes speaks louder than any material archive.

Zwischenstopp is an invitation to authors and interested parties. Authors read from as yet unpublished texts - and discuss their drafts with the audience.
