The Haus der Begegnung is a place for communicative exchange, meetings and get-togethers for people with and without disabilities.

The communal character also extends beyond this: the house stands for social participation and strengthening civil society.

This is promoted, for example, by an in-house leisure and cultural program. It also provides advice, support and educational work. This is how inclusion is to be lived in the neighborhood.

The deaf advice service of the city's health department and the self-help contact point of Paritätischer NRW are also housed in the building.

The Haus der Begegnung is barrier-free.
