In the organizer's words:

In this exhibition, parents of children with disabilities give an insight into their everyday lives: they talk about the many applications they have to make to the support system and the lack of leisure activities in the city of Bochum. Above all, however, they share their hopes and wishes - how participation can succeed when people really listen.

Quote from a parent: 'I wish that other people knew what life is like with a child with a disability - without me having to explain everything all the time. It would be nice if we could move around the city as if we simply belonged and could live normally as a family. For me, inclusion means that our needs are considered from the outset - in urban design, in support services and in our encounters with each other.

The exhibition can be seen from 22.5.26 to 17.7.26 in the corridors of the Haus der Begegnung during regular opening hours and is freely accessible.
