Historisches Museum Hannover

The Historical Museum in Hanover's old town is currently closed due to renovation and conceptual work on a new permanent exhibition. The reopening is planned for 2030. In the meantime, the museum is "on the road with history", i.e. it is presenting exhibition projects at changing locations. These include the Hanover Kiosk on the corner of Karmarschstrasse and Marktstrasse, which offers a brief introduction to Hanover's history and is the starting point for city tours and other programs. In 2025, an exhibition in the Tintenturm on the Pelikan grounds will provide insights into the history of writing culture in general and the simplified original script in particular.
