The Landesmuseum Mainz is the cultural history museum in Rhineland-Palatinate and is located right in the center of Mainz in the Große Bleiche. The baroque building of the former electoral stables in the later "Golden Ross Barracks" with its modern glass and steel construction facing the inner courtyard not only houses one of the most important cultural history collections in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, but is also open for a wide range of cultural events outside of museum opening hours.
