Temporary Gallery - Center for Contemporary Art has been established as an exhibition space in Cologne since 2009. Initially used commercially as a rental gallery by gallery owners for gallery owners, since 2012 it has pursued exclusively non-profit objectives, namely the presentation, mediation, discussion and localization of contemporary art practice and theory in a social context.

This work was awarded the ADKV-ART COLOGNE Prize in 2018. Since January 2019, Aneta Rostkowska has headed the institution and expanded its program to include the topics of ecology, sustainability, community and inclusion. The Temporary Gallery is involved both on an international level (international solo and group exhibitions) and on a local level (solo and group exhibitions with Cologne artists) and develops projects through fundamental research into the socio-economic context and in close collaboration with theorists and practitioners.
