Punk ist ein Versprechen – von Rebellion und Selbstermächtigung! „Nicht labern, machen!“ ist das Motto. Was zählt, ist die Idee und der Mut, sich auf eine Bühne zu stellen. Und das gilt ganz besonders für die Frauen der Szene: In Düsseldorf gründen sich Östro 430, in West-Berlin Mania D, später Malaria!, und in Zürich Kleenex, später LiLiput. Ihre Vorbilder stammen aus England und heißen X-Ray Spex, The Slits, The Raincoats oder Siouxsie Sioux. Es entstehen Songs über weibliche Rollenklischees und Spießertum, über Machos und dogmatische Feministinnen. Es geht um weibliches Begehren und sexuelle Selbstbestimmung. Und immer auch um das Erobern von Freiräumen – innerhalb der männerdominierten Punkszene, aber auch gesamtgesellschaftlich.

Ein Taxifahrer fährt durch die Stadt Berlin und spricht über die Veränderungen und den Boom des Immobilienmarktes. Er selbst ist Punk, links und eine bekannte Größe in der autonomen Szene. Die Stationen seiner Fahrt sind die wichtigsten Orte der linksautonomen Szene: Rigaer Straße, Liebigstraße, das Tuntenhaus, Potse, Drugstore, Syndikat, Meuterei und die Köpi; alle im Überlebenskampf. Junge Menschen wie das Kollektiv der Potse und vom Drugstore fürchten um ihr selbstbestimmtes Leben. Frauen aus der Liebigstraße beschreiben, wie wichtig ihr Hausprojekt als Raum für Unterstützung suchende FLINTA* Personen war. Die letzten Räumungen sind noch nicht verarbeitet und schon stehen die nächsten an: Das autonome Jugendzentrum Potse muss den Schlüssel abgeben und die Verhandlungen um den Köpi Wagenplatz laufen schon. Wir bewegen uns mit den Protagonist*innen durch ihre Lebenswelt. Gemeinsam gehen wir mit ihnen auf Kundgebungen, Konzerte, Demonstrationen, KüFas (Küche für alle) und durch ihr Privat- und Berufsleben. Immer wieder ertönt eine laute Stimme aus dem Megafon und erklärt der Stadt der Reichen den Kampf.
