Ahmed Eid
Ahmed Eid is a Palestinian musician who was born in the political exile of his parents in 1987, moved to Ramallah (occupied Palestine) at the age of eight, and to Berlin (Germany) at the age of 27. Ahmed nowadays resides in both cities. From his early days, Ahmed was enveloped in sound. By 18, he found himself at the Cologne Conservatory of Music, immersing himself in the study of Jazz. Ahmed Eid’s early days growing up in Palestine, two decades spanning career in Europe and trusted collaborations have been a continuous source of inspiration and guidance through his musical journey.
"Aghani Akhira" (Last Songs) is the title of Ahmed Eid's debut EP. The 7 songs speak of real-life stories experienced by fictional characters in Ahmed’s two realities, Palestine and Berlin. The works articulate anti colonial and anti patriarchal elements, whilst always remaining rooted in graphic descriptions and deep poetry.
Ahmed composed his songs against the backdrop of traditional and contemporary Arabic music with a playful sense of musical improvisation, arranged and inspired by contemporary electronic music. This album bridges the experiences of a Palestinian musician, who traversed from political exiles in Syria, Cyprus, Tunisia, and Jordan, to his current bases in Ramallah and Berlin.

The tour will be collecting donations for the Palestine Music Space in Ramallah. This space creates a place where young talents can learn, record, experiment, and grow together free of charge.
