In this series, we invite one DJ to take you on an expansive journey through their record collection. Expect everything from downbeat, IDM, funk towards house, tech-house and groove as we move deeper into the night.

TPR – aka Samuel Gieben – is one of the founders and key residents of Hypersoft, the Berlin collective and music platform that spans a party series, record label, art, two mix series, a residency on Refuge Worldwide, and fundraising efforts that have put more than 10K€ back into the LGBTQ+ community since 2022.

Samuel discovered electronic music in the mid ‘90s after hearing Goldie on BBC Radio 1’s ‘One In The Jungle’ show; by 15, he and his friends were deep into buying records and launched their own party, bringing some of the biggest names from London to the Scottish capital – including Goldie himself – all before turning 18.

Relocating to Berlin in 2009 and immersing himself in the city’s Queer house and techno scene, he became a regular at many major venues, parties and festivals around the city, starting at Berlin’s longest-running Queer club Schwuz and moving on to institutions such as Homopatik, Lab.dance and further afield to clubs and parties throughout Europe, including the legendary Robert Johnson. A highly versatile and consistently surprising DJ, he has become known for wide-ranging, extended sets, frequent b2bs and constantly pushing himself into new territory, following an instinctive, atypical path that has kept him just enough under the radar to allow him to explore and experiment freely.

In 2024, he made his debut at Panorama Bar together with DJ TEETH, as well as on the highly regarded livestream platform The Mudd Show. In 2025, he's overseen a run of 5 extended editions of Hypersoft totalling more than 100 hours at OXI, played multiple shows including for Sound Metaphors at Club OST, a 6-hour b2b with Bliss Inc., and released mixes for Rinse France and Amsterdam-based IsBurning’s acclaimed ambient series, Smoke.
