Irish composer, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist David O’Dowda has built a reputation for creating music that feels both cinematic and deeply intimate. Based in Manchester UK, he first came to wider attention when his track The World Retreats was used in the hit Netflix series Dark. Since then,his distinctive blend of layered vocals and atmospheric sound has led to collaborations with Grammy Award-winning duo Camel Phat and collaborating with artists and composers across a variety of genres. As well as growing a catalogue of songs on the Velvet Ears label on Extreme Music, he has also composed original music for television ad campaigns with IKEA, Boots and Stella Artois, the Channel 5 documentary The One That Got Away, and the 2017 dystopian feature film Division 19 starring Clarke Peters (The Wire).
