A 1.5-day programme at DOK.fest Munich exploring how documentary and factual storytelling is being reshaped by digital platforms, brand partnerships and new funding models.
Built in cooperation with Documentary Campus and DOK.forum, DCampus Exchange Munich is designed for filmmakers, producers and commissioners who want to understand the practical realities of working in the digital-first space, not just the buzzwords.
Sessions cover what actually works on digital world, how brand-funded documentaries get made without sacrificing editorial control, alternative financing strategies drawn from real case studies, and how broadcasters and digital players are rethinking audiences.
The programme includes panels, fireside chats, a research presentation on reaching Gen Z, and a hands-on workshop led by Brian Newman (Sub-Genre) where filmmakers and brands get into the room together to unpack how collaborations actually work.
