SKURREAL presents: DOOM GONG

Formed in 2022 in Louisville (US) by 7 music school nerds, DOOM GONG has made a name for themselves internationally with their own home-baked genre, Denim Psych - a hodgepodge of psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, prog rock, bedroom pop, lo-fi, contemporary classical music, as well as blood, sweat, and a lot of denim. 

Having amassed a catalogue of 3 rock opera-esque LP’s (DOOM GONG, Dream Behemoth and MEGAGONG) and 1 Live album (Live at the Whirling Tiger) in only 3 years, DOOM GONG has quickly become a mainstay of the psych scene in the US and abroad. Recently they played live at tastemakers KEXP! With another 6 albums in the chamber, their first European tour and of course first stop in Munich, they are not done yet, not by a long shot: THE GONG RINGS ON!

DOOM GONG wurde 2022 in Louisville (USA) von sieben Musikhochschul-Nerds gegründet und hat sich international mit ihrem selbst kreierten Genre „Denim Psych“ einen Namen gemacht – einem Sammelsurium aus Psychedelic Rock, Jazz-Fusion, Prog-Rock, Bedroom Pop, Lo-Fi, zeitgenössischer klassischer Musik sowie Blut, Schweiß und jeder Menge Denim. 

Mit einem Repertoire von 3 LPs und einem Live-Album seit 2023, sind DOOM GONG schnell zu einer festen Größe der Psych-Szene in den USA und darüber hinaus geworden. Erst kürzlich spielten sie live bei den Trendsettern von KEXP! Mit weiteren 6 Alben in der Pipeline, ihrer ersten Europatournee und natürlich dem ersten Stopp in München sind sie noch lange nicht am Ende: THE GONG RINGS ON!
