Falling Figures

Das sagt der/die Veranstalter:in:

‘𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔’ explores the human condition in moments of descent -
physically, emotionally, ideologically. The exhibition presents the act of falling not just as failure, but as transformation, surrender, or resistance.
This is an exhibition that visualizes the disorienting sensation of living in a state of emotional dissociation while being aware of one’s own complicity
in uncomfortable systems — societal, relational, or internal. It addresses how discomfort becomes ritualized: repeated, endured.
The exhibition doesn’t try to “solve” this condition but stages it, embodies it, repeats it — until it starts to feel like a familiar choreography.

By Thomas Leona Burkhardt & Lindsey Marie White

Thomas Leona Burkhardt is a Berlin-based tattoo artist and multidisciplinary creative with extensive experience in custom design, event organization, and collective management. Skilled in developing and curating flash designs, providing artist care, and fostering collaborative creative spaces. Background includes running an independent studio and collective, coordinating exhibitions and events, and supporting artists through mentorship and project facilitation. Artistic practice draws from classic and tribal tattoo traditions, as well as inspirations from history, everyday life, and overlooked cultural details—resulting in distinctive, original work that bridges past, present, and future.

Lindsey Marie White is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work explores the intersections of ritual, repetition, the human figure, sex, and emotion. Her practice moves fluidly between personal expression and shared experience — an ongoing study of how intimacy, vulnerability, and desire shape the ways we connect with ourselves and with others. With a background in curation and event planning, Lindsey approaches her art as both a maker and a connector. She creates spaces — visual, physical, and emotional — where collaboration becomes part of the work itself. Whether working independently or alongside other artists, her process is grounded in storytelling: each piece a fragment of a larger narrative about embodiment, memory, and the cycles we return to. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to shift between mediums with intention, treating each project as both an experiment and an offering — a ritual of making that transforms the personal into the collective.
