Entre Trópicos presents:
Ilan Amores, the Argentine troubadour reshaping cumbia with raw poetry, punk spirit, and stories from the margins, arrives in Berlin for the first time with his solo project.
Raised in the subtropical province of Misiones and rooted in Argentina’s independent scene, Ilan fuses the rebellious energy of punk with cumbia’s rhythm and the intimacy of songwriting. His music echoes the spirit of Manu Chao, but with a sound unmistakably his own — blending alternative beats, heartfelt lyrics, and a hypnotic, borderless aesthetic.
After collaborations with icons like Pablito Lescano, Damas Gratis, and invitations from Andrés Calamaro and Manu Chao, Ilan Amores has become a leading voice of the new alternative cumbia movement.
His latest album Caballo Negro, released by Caraza Records, marks a turning point — raw, eclectic, and ready to hit Berlin for a unique live show.
