As a sought-after producer, keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist and DJ, for the past 20 years, Mauricio Fleury from São Paulo, Brazil, has been making music happen across various styles. His collaborations in concerts and recordings cover almost the entire spectrum of what is most interesting in contemporary Brazilian music and its fusion with hip-hop, jazz, rock or MPB, and has already performed and/or recorded with artists such as Gal Costa, João Donato, Bixiga 70, Marlena Shaw, Orlando Julius, Tony Allen, Ben Lamar Gay, Quantic, Instituto Mexicano de Sonido y Toy Selectah, among others. Now based in Berlin, he has also been playing his vinyl sets that connect those influences and reflect around 25 years of digging and playing tropical music and funk from different periods and locations: from Brazilian Samba and Boogie to West African Disco to Leftfield Pysch to Hypnotic grooves and beyond. His DJ sets have already thrilled audiences at festivals such as Durchlüften Festival, Sónar Barcelona, Dekmantel São Paulo, Sónar São Paulo, Coquetel Molotov Recife and in clubs in Berlin, Paris, Lisbon and New York.
