“Running with Scissors” by CANE YO

Das sagt der/die Veranstalter:in:

The global artists collective CANE YO arrives in Berlin for the first time, presented by ANDERS Galerie at Potsdamer Platz.

“Running with Scissors” brings together 40 collective members and 5 invited Berlin artists, featuring more than 300 original artworks, many of them at affordable prices starting at 100€.

CANE YO is a global artists’ collective formed online through open chats, shared sketchbooks, and the free exchange of ideas. Working across figurative painting, drawing, and digital media, the collective explores the increasingly blurred boundaries between screen culture and traditional art-making. Their work reflects the visual language of the internet, its flatness, speed, and saturation, translated into tactile, materially grounded practices.

Running with Scissors marks the collective’s first large-scale presentation in Berlin, transforming a central urban space into a temporary platform for emerging artistic voices. The exhibition reflects on how contemporary artists navigate authorship, collaboration, and image circulation in a hyper-connected environment.

The project is organized by ANDERS Project Space & Gallery and curated by José Aguad (BAAM / ArtMadness), as part of an ongoing initiative to support emerging artists and experimental formats of exhibition-making.
