A concert without an instrument, a song without a voice, a dialog without an answer. What does absence sound like?

In the concert performance +1, a performer, a percussionist and a sound artist encounter ghostly counterparts: a missing instrument, a deceased voice, a line of a song that has not been handed down, a crackle in the recording. +1 invites you to remember and imagine with your ears - to listen to what was there, could be there, is there. An evening between ghost concert, head cinema and hide-and-seek, in which the performance itself repeatedly disappears behind the curtain and reappears in the imagination.

Hamburg-based theater maker Greta Granderath moves between genres and pursues feminist working methods and aesthetics. Her concert performance HIT zu Schlagkraft und Softness premiered at Kraftwerk Bille in Hamburg and opened the SEANAPS music festival at Leipzig's LOFFT Theater in 2024. With +1, her work can be experienced in Berlin for the first time.
