Simple language: people read out poems and texts.

On April 21, it's time again for the Marburg Poetry Slam! For the 147th time, poets from all over the German-speaking world will come together to inspire you with their self-written texts. Whether funny or thoughtful. Professional or newcomer. Poetry slam is real, unpredictable and a unique experience! So grab your friends and let yourself be carried away by the words.

The evening will be hosted by Stella Jantosca and Tobias Beitzel.

Poetry slam is poetry from the audience for the audience. Anyone who has already written a few lines and dares to take to the stage can present their text to the audience. Whether it's a poem, short story or simply personal thoughts - funny or serious - it doesn't matter. Whatever the audience likes is allowed. Up to ten authors compete on one evening, and at the end the audience decides which text has earned the winner's trophy.
