Simple language: The ADFC Marburg-Biedenkopf is showing the film "Why We Cycle". The film explains: Why do people cycle so much in the Netherlands? Afterwards we talk together: How can Marburg also become a cycling city?

"Bicycle friendliness" is an irritating word in Germany: conflicts, dogmatism, "Who owns the road?"...
The Netherlands is "bicycle-friendly": over 27% of journeys are made by bike. But why do people cycle so much there? The film "Why we cycle" poses this question to various people in the Netherlands and accompanies them in their everyday lives. Enriched with voices from science and research, a picture of a Dutch cycling culture emerges from which perhaps a few things can also be learned in Germany and especially in Marburg.
The ADFC Marburg-Biedenkopf e.V. therefore invites you to watch this film, which was produced in 2017, and would like to enter into a discussion with those present afterwards: how can Marburg and its surrounding area become a "cycling country", just like the Netherlands?
