179. Cannstatter Volksfest

In the organizer's words:

The Cannstatter Volksfest is one of the largest and most beautiful folk festivals in the world.

It attracts around four million visitors every year. People from different generations and nations come together here to laugh and celebrate. The many rides, stalls and marquees create a very special atmosphere on the Wasen.

There is plenty on offer! Adventure-seekers and connoisseurs alike get their money's worth: from fast attractions such as roller coasters, to quiet rides such as the Ferris wheel, to mysterious ghost trains, everything is there. A large selection of food and drinks such as roasted almonds, juicy burgers and "Göckele" are available at the snack stalls, in the beer gardens and tents - including vegetarian and vegan options, of course. You can also celebrate in the festival tents. Reservations are recommended here.

A popular destination for the whole family

Numerous rides and amusement rides ensure that even the younger guests will have bright eyes and unforgettable experiences. Every week there are family days with reduced prices and great hands-on activities.

One of the highlights is the big parade on the first Sunday of the festival.

The main agricultural festival (LWH) takes place at the same time from 27.09.-04.10.2026 at the Cannstatter Wasen.
