"Christmas in Westend" - from animal crazy to simply beautiful!

On the 4th weekend of Advent, 20 and 21 December 2025, Preußenallee in Charlottenburg will once again be transformed into a small winter wonderland: "Weihnachten im Westend" is celebrating its 12th edition - organized by the association Family & Friends e. V. If you are still looking for special gifts, simply fancy mulled wine and other special drops or live performances, or want charming encounters in the neighbourhood, this is the place to be. Between all kinds of fragrant treats, handmade arts and crafts and atmospherically decorated stalls, you can meet neighbors, artisans, the jazz police and the singing "Christmas elephant Jochen", who have long enjoyed cult status. Another highlight are the falconry shows with free-flying birds of prey in the middle of the city of Berlin, which amaze all guests.

"Christmas in Westend" is one of the family Christmas markets in Berlin's neighbourhood, where the neighbourhood meets and celebrates Advent together shortly before Christmas Eve - cheerful, carefree and with an extra pinch of humor, says Claudia Scholz from the organizer Family & Friends e. Arts and crafts meet urban culture

More than 100 exhibitors present their work - from fashion art to wood design or upcycling to painting and jewelry. There are many things to discover:

A Christmas market with swing! The Jazz Santa Clauses and the Jazz Police bring Christmas carols, swing and Dixieland to the streets in Santa Claus outfits with trumpet, sousaphone or banjo - or New Orleans music and improv shows with megaphone solos - all very charming, quirky and full of joy.

Meanwhile, falconerOliver Peipe presents his spectacular bird of prey demonstrations. His impressive birds soar through the middle of the city - and over Jochen, the singing Christmas dolphin from Weimar, who happily cycles through the crowd. The Christmassy trunked animal, who just about fits into his bright red Christmas coat, is the star of Charlottenburg and has a lot going on behind his big ears. As a mascot, Jochen from Weimar is as much a part of "Christmas in the Westend" as the decorated Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
