25. Filmfest FrauenWelten

In the organizer's words:

From October 29 to November 4 at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin, the FrauenWelten film festival will be showing 32 powerful films that shed light on the topic of women's rights from different perspectives. Through moving stories and visual storytelling, viewers will be sensitized to the reality of women worldwide, while at the same time empowering girls and women and encouraging social commitment.
Highlights:

• Theopening film THE BEST MOTHER OF THE WORLD, a sensitive portrait of care and courage
• The German premiere ofIMPURE, a haunting drama about self-determination and social taboos
• The Berlin premiere ofGIRLS & GODS, a powerful statement about female spirituality and resilience
• An anniversary program with a cinematic retrospective showing selected films from 25 years

In terms of content, there is a special focus on Afghanistan, the power of women's communities and the topic of violence against women - important and highly topical issues that touch and shake people up.
