The last chamber concert of the season brings together a very special line-up of flute, piano and percussion quartet in the Kleines Haus. For André Jolivet (1905-1974), who sought to "re-establish contact with the original life of nature and the magical powers of the human soul" through his music, the archaic instruments of flute and percussion played a very special role. According to Jolivet, the flute is "the musical instrument par excellence, because it is animated by breath, a profound creation of man". A concert full of magic that juxtaposes Jolivet's moving Incantations for solo flute, the Suite en concert and the famous Chant de Linos with other powerful works by contemporary composers Dimos Stephanidis, Gene Koshinski and Steve Reich.
