"A Schwoazzes Gebiss" plays and sets to music poems from the Viennese post-war period - as poetry punk: a homage to the Austrian poets and writers H. C. Artmann, Ernst Jandl, Christine Nöstlinger, Trude Marzik and Georg Kreisler. Together with the originals by singer Georg Kostron and the live video animations by Alexandra Huchet, their lusty, abysmal texts become a pop-like Gesamtkunstwerk. Here they sound like a mythical creature from Voodoo Jürgens, Ludwig Hirsch, Jon Spencer and the Fehlfarben. Dada and dialect become spoken word, song and post-punk.
"A Schwoazzes Gebiss" shines a spotlight on the experimental language of the 1950s to 1970s as well as on the Viennese dialect and its darkly humorous blossoms. This legendary poetry finds its rhyme in the present and frightens, enchants and entertains as if freshly printed.
The performance has been developed since 2024 by singer and bassist Georg Kostron (Vienna - AT), guitarist Norman Fedro Heger (Pordenone - IT), drummer Elias Engler (Berlin - DE) and video artist Alexandra Huchet (Orléans - FR).
